David Becker, born October 20, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio, is a jazz guitarist and composer. He started on trumpet, winning an award at Hale Jr High, then switched to guitar at 15. David Becker formed the David Becker Tribune with his brother Bruce in 1982, recording their self-titled EP and touring Germany in 1984. The band signed with MCA and released Long Peter Madsen in 1986, followed by Siberian Express in 1988, which reached number 3 on R&R, as well as "Anja" hitting Number 1. Notable albums include Third Time Around (1990) and In Motion (1991). Becker's solo career includes The Lonely Road (2015) and collaborations such as For John with Brad Rabuchin (2019).
