Josh Osho, born 18 February 1992 in South London, England, is an English singer who emerged from a multicultural background with a Nigerian father and an Irish‑Nigerian mother. Growing up in Tooting, he developed a passion for songwriting after receiving a guitar from a friend of his mother, and his early schooling at Graveney School fostered both his English skills and love for football. Osho’s career took off when he signed with Island Records in mid‑2011, releasing his debut single "Redemption Days" on 4 September 2011, featuring Ghostface Killah; the track gained airtime on BBC Radio 1, Radio 2 and Radio 1Xtra and was added to the B‑List of all three stations. In 2012 he toured as a support act for Rizzle Kicks, Emeli Sandé, and Jessie J, and collaborated with Childish Gambino on "Giants" and Tom Jones on a duet at the Hammersmith Apollo. His debut studio album L.i.f.e was issued on 25 June 2012 and received mixed reviews, with NME awarding it 2.5 stars. Subsequent releases included the EP The John Doe EP in September 2012, and singles such as "Imperfections" in January 2013, which entered the BBC Radio 2 A‑Playlist and reached number 40 on the UK Airplay Chart. By March 2013, Osho had been dropped by Island Records, and he continued to perform supporting roles for artists like Ne‑Yo, though no further major releases followed.
