The Frost, an American psychedelic rock band from Alpena, Michigan, formed in 1968. The group consisted of Dick Wagner on vocals and guitar, Gordy Garris on bass guitar, Bob Rigg on drums, and Don Hartman on guitar. Their first large-scale performance was at Meadowbrook Theatre in front of a crowd of 10,000, where they stood out among other acts like MC5 and The Stooges. The Frost released three albums for Vanguard Records: Frost Music, Rock and Roll Music, and Through the Eyes of Love. Despite their local success and notable singles such as "Mystery Man" and "Sweet Lady Love", substandard album cover artwork and poor distribution hampered their national breakthrough. The band disbanded in 1970, but they were inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame in 2008.
