Tonton Lusambo is a Congolese musician who began his career in the 1970s. Passionate about music from a young age, he taught himself to play the guitar and performed with numerous orchestras in Kinshasa, including Mopero Wa Maloba, Jiengaka, Bipoli, and Viva La Musika.
Over the years, Tonton Lusambo has developed his own unique and original sound, which he calls Tonton SAMBO. His songwriting style is distinct from that of other artists, earning him a reputation as an outstanding musician. He crafts his songs in the middle of the night, always with his notebook and pen by his side.
Currently residing in Goma, Tonton Lusambo has no specific plans for the future but continues to write and seek the perfect sound. He hopes to find a patron or producer to help him bring his projects to life and deliver even more spectacular performances to his audience.
Despite the challenges, Tonton Lusambo remains hopeful and confident about the future. His musical career is exceptional, and his prospects are promising. He has toured extensively across Africa, performing in countries such as South Africa, France, Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, and Sudan. His music incorporates elements of Rumba, World Music, Afro House, Amapiano, Afrobeat, and more.
