Toco Para Vos, a Uruguayan cumbia pop group, was formed in Montevideo in late 2013. The band initially consisted of Bautista Mascia, Andrés Urioste, Sebastián Muñoz, and Meri Deal as lead vocalist. Their debut single "Hasta la luna" was released in April 2014, followed by the singles "8 de Otoño," "Hacer un Puente," and "Algo Más" that year. In April 2015, they gained international recognition with the hit single "Solo Necesito." The band signed with Warner Music Group in December 2015 and embarked on their first international tour along the Argentine Atlantic coast during the southern hemisphere summer of 2016. Their debut album, #Tocoparavos, was released on June 17, 2016, including the singles "Tu Beso y Tu Piel" and "Entre nosotros," the latter featuring Spanish singer Álex Ubago. In 2018, Meri Deal began a solo career, and the band went on hiatus in 2020. Toco Para Vos reunited in January 2021 to release the single "Se Picó," featuring Uruguayan singers El Reja and Marka Akme, which charted on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100.
