Banlieuz'Art, also known as BLZ, is a Guinean hip-hop group formed in 2004 in Conakry by Konko Malela (Abdoul Aziz Bangoura) and Soul Dag'One (Souleymane Sow). The duo gained recognition in 2009 through their participation in the Urban Afreeka project with the song "Police". Banlieuz'Art became known for its socially conscious lyrics, blending various genres including afro-reggae, afro-folk, dancehall, and afro-rap. Their debut album, Koun Faya Koun - Le Voyage, was released in 2013. They followed this with the 2018 album Kalanké, Koun Faya Koun. Banlieuz'Art received significant awards, such as the K7 d'or for best hope group of the year in 2009 and the Djembé d'or for best urban music album in 2013 for Koun Faya Koun. The group has collaborated with notable artists like Degg J Force 3 on the single "Gbin Gbin Soo" and participated in humanitarian efforts.
