Kadril is a Belgian folk group formed in 1976 from the youth movement Wielewaaljongeren, initially played Irish and French music before transitioning to Flemish music. Their debut album Kadril was released in 1986, following performances at local events. Notable albums include De Vogel in de Muite (1990), Nooit met Krijt (1994), and the live album Live: De Groote Boodschap (1996). Kadril collaborated with Patrick Riguelle on several projects. Other significant releases include La Paloma Negra (2004) and De Andere Kust (2005). The group celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2003 with the release of the album Pays, produced by Gabriel Yacoub. In 2016, Kadril released 40 (2016) to mark their 40th anniversary, followed by Jolie Flamande (2022).
