Carla Vallet, born in Madrid, is a Spanish pop singer whose as the daughter of an American mother and a French jazz musician-shaped her early musical influences. After formal vocal training in Madrid and early performances in local cafés, Vallet entered the recording scene with Cowboy Bebop in 1998, collaborating with Japanese composer Kanno Yōko, a project that introduced her voice to an international audience. In 2005, her single "Streets Of Tomorrow" marked a commercial breakthrough; the track was featured in an Audi Q7 advertising campaign and debuted at the IAA 2005 in Frankfurt, subsequently entering the German charts in November 2005. Throughout her career she performed on tours across Europe, signed with the independent label EchoWave, and collaborated with artists such as Leslie Mandoki.
