Robert Martin Enevoldsen, also known as Bob Enevoldsen, born on September 11, 1920, in Billings, Montana, was a West Coast jazz tenor saxophonist and valve trombonist. He began his musical journey learning the violin before switching to the trombone at school. After serving in the US Air Force from 1942 to 1946, Enevoldsen started his professional career as a saxophonist in Salt Lake City clubs. In 1951, he moved to Los Angeles and quickly found work in studios and jazz clubs, playing with notable West Coast jazz musicians such as Art Pepper, Shorty Rogers, and Jimmy Giuffre. He was also a member of Gerry Mulligan's tentette. Enevoldsen continued performing into his later years, appearing on The Bill Holman Band Live in 2005, just months before his death on November 19, 2005.
