Slingshot Dakota is an American rock band from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, formed in Long Island in 2003. The group initially consisted of Carly Comando on keys and vocals, Pat Schramm on drums, and Jeff Cunningham on guitar and vocals. They released the debut album Keener Sighs (2004) under Immigrant Sun Records. In the spring of 2005, Schramm was replaced by Tom Patterson, and in 2006, Cunningham left the band, reducing it to a two-piece act. They self-released the second album Their Dreams Are Dead, But Ours Is the Golden Ghost! (2007). Slingshot Dakota released the third full-length album Dark Hearts (2012) under Topshelf Records, followed by Break (2016) and Heavy Banding (2019). Comando scored the short video Everyday and the documentary film Lily Topples the World.
