Axel Becker, born on September 28, 1963, in Nürnberg, Germany, was a German folk singer. His career began with notable success at the Volkstümliche Hitparade in 1997, where his single "Schlaf in meinen Träumen ein" (1997) reached Number 1. This breakthrough was followed by the release of his debut album Ich Kann Nicht Leben Ohne Dich in 1999. Becker achieved further recognition with his song "Ein neuer Tag bricht an" (1999), which placed third in the pre-selection for the Grand Prix der Volksmusik. Subsequent albums include So Eine Liebe Gibt Es Einmal Nur (2000), and Nur Wer Liebt (2002), featuring the single "Stern einer Nacht". Becker passed away in January 2015.
