Davenie Johanna "Joey" Heatherton, born on September 14, 1944, in New York City, was an American actress and singer. She began her career as a child actress, appearing on her father's show The Merry Mailman and later becoming a member of the ensemble for the original Broadway production of The Sound of Music. Heatherton released her first single, "That's How It Goes"/"I'll Be Seeing You", in 1959. Throughout the 1960s, she gained attention for her sensual dancing on television shows like Hullabaloo and The Dean Martin Show, where she performed "Hullabaloo" and other notable songs. Heatherton's career included appearances on various variety shows and dramatic roles in episodic television series such as Mr. Novak and I Spy. She also starred in several feature films, including My Blood Runs Cold (1965) and The Happy Hooker Goes to Washington (1977). In 1972, Heatherton released her debut album, The Joey Heatherton Album, which included the single "Gone", peaking at Number 24 on Billboard's Hot 100. She performed live with Bob Hope’s touring USO troupe from 1965 to 1977, entertaining troops with her singing and dancing.
