Alexander Knappe (born 15 February 1985 in Wilhelm-Pieck-Stadt Guben, Germany) is a German singer whose early life was marked by athletic pursuits before a career‑ending cruciate ligament injury forced a shift to music. After leaving the Hertha BSC sports school, he formed the trio Jandtee and later the project Kleistpark, but his breakthrough came with participation in X Factor (Deutschland) in 2010, where he reached the bootcamp stage. In 2012, under the label ferryhouse, he released his debut single "Weil ich wieder zu Hause bin" and the album Zweimal Bis Unendlich, which entered the German charts at number 21. Subsequent releases included the album Die Zweite (2014), Musik an. Welt aus. (2016) featuring the Philharmonische Orchester des Staatstheaters Cottbus, and the album Ohne Chaos keine Lieder (2018). The 2022 EP and album Weihnachten Forever added a seasonal dimension to his catalog. His singles "Bis meine Welt die Augen schließt" (2016), "Herz mit der Post" (2018), and "Alles geht vorbei" (2020) achieved moderate chart positions, while live performances with the orchestra and a supporting slot for A‑ha on their MTV Unplugged Tour in 2018 expanded his audience.
