Lefteris Papadopoulos, born on November 14, 1935, in Athens, Greece, was a Greek lyricist, writer, and journalist. His parents were refugees who settled in Greece following the population exchange between Greece and Turkey in 1924. Papadopoulos began his career as a journalist at Ta Néa in 1959, becoming a recognized editorialist. He started writing songs in 1963 and collaborated with prominent composers and singers of his generation, including Míkis Theodorákis, Stávros Xarchákos, and Mános Loḯzos. Papadopoulos also authored several books and presented television shows in Greece.
