Luna Halo, a rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, was formed in 1999 with Nathan Barlowe as lead vocalist and guitarist. The group released their debut album Shimmer on Sparrow Records in 2000. After leaving Sparrow Records due to creative differences, Luna Halo underwent several lineup changes. In 2004, they released the EP Wasting Away. The band signed with American Recordings in 2005 and began work on their second album, Luna Halo, which was finally released in 2007 after several delays. The band announced their final show on December 8, 2012 before becoming inactive. After a hiatus, Luna Halo performed a sold-out show at Mercury Lounge in Nashville on February 11, 2022 and released The End is the Beginning in 2024.
