Matthias Deutschmann, born on September 16, 1958, in Betzdorf, Germany, is a German cabaret artist. After studying in Freiburg, Deutschmann started focusing on cabaret in 1979, initially performing with various groups before transitioning to solo programs. Deutschmann's notable programs include Blinder Alarm (1985) and Einer flog übers Grundgesetz (1987). He moved to Berlin in 1989, where he continued his cabaret career with programs like Amokkoma (1989). Deutschmann has had a prolific career, releasing numerous solo albums, including Nachtangriff (1996) and Finalissimo (1999) and performing at various festivals. His notable television appearances include regular spots on Mitternachtsspitzen since 1993. In addition to his cabaret work, Deutschmann is an accomplished chess player, having been a member of the German Chess Federation's youth team and playing for the SK Freiburg-Zähringen in the Bundesliga.
