The Unlimiters are a German ska band from Berlin, formed in 2010 by members of the group The Essentials. The ensemble consists of lead vocalists Nathan Moore and Erika Carmen Abalos, guitarist Stefan Kulaszewski, and keyboardist Steffen Hein. The band released its debut single, “Hard Times”, in September 2010 via the independent label Highscore Publishing. This release was followed by their eponymous debut album, The Unlimiters, on 15 October 2010. The single “Hard Times” gained further recognition when it was featured in the soundtrack of the 2012 German feature film Reported Missing. The band’s debut work received reviews from major outlets, including the German reggae magazine Riddim and the daily newspaper Die Tageszeitung. In October 2010, the group performed for a national audience on the ZDF morning show Morgenmagazin. The band's discography expanded in 2011 with the release of two EPs, In Dub and In Club, which featured remixes by producers such as Victor Rice and Erick Rincón. These remixes received airplay on stations including BBC 6 Music and Radio 3 of Radio Nacional de España.
