Peter Van Hoesen, born on July 19, 1970 in Schoten, Belgium, is a Belgian electronic music producer, composer, DJ and live performer. He started playing instruments at age 11 and was part of several bands during his teenage years. Van Hoesen's first foray into techno came during his university days in Brussels, where he began organizing techno events and DJing. In 2006, he released his debut EP Increments E.P.. Throughout his career, Van Hoesen released notable albums such as Entropic City (2010), Perceiver (2012), and Life Performance (2013). He founded labels including Foton and Time To Express, and collaborated with Yves De Mey as Sendai. Van Hoesen also composed music for contemporary dance companies. He moved from Brussels to Berlin in 2010 and later to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
