Saeldes Sanc is a German music band founded in 2011 by singer Hannah Wagner and cellist Georg Postulka. The duo initially focused on reinterpreting medieval texts with contemporary instruments, drawing from Old French, Middle High German, and Old English poetry. Peter Andersohn joined Saeldes Sanc in 2012 as a narrator, pianist, drummer, and singer but left in 2016. Postulka departed in 2014, after which Wagner continued with various ensemble members and guest musicians. Their debut album Thank You for the Tragedy was released in 2017, featuring collaborations with Ernst Horn and Christian von Aster. The band has performed at notable festivals such as the Leipziger Wave-Gotik-Treffen and the Rudolstadt Festival. Wagner's collaboration with Ernst Horn also led to her joining his ensemble Helium Vola, where she contributed both individually and within the group on their album Wohin?.
