Norwegian pop duo, Dollie de Luxe, consisting of Benedicte Adrian (lead vocal) and Ingrid Bjørnov (keyboard and vocal), formed in 1980. The group gained initial recognition with their debut album Første Akt, released the same year, which won the Spellemannprisen. In 1984, Dollie de Luxe represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest with "Lenge leve livet", marking a significant career milestone. Their name change from Dollie to Dollie de Luxe occurred around this time. The duo achieved international success in 1985 with their single "Queen of the Night/Satisfaction", which reached number 20 in France and number 6 in Argentina. In 1987, they premiered their musical Which Witch at the Bergen International Festival; it later staged at a West End theatre in London in 1992, with 76 performances. Dollie de Luxe also toured with the musical Henriette og hennes siste ekte menn and released the album Prinsessens utvalgte, featuring selections from the musical, in 1995. Throughout their career, they released several notable albums, including Dollies dagbok (1981) and Rock vs. Opera (1985).
