Bergfeuer is a folk-pop music group from South Tyrol, Italy, formed in 1994 by Joe Ausserhofer and Zenzo Obwegs, alongside Georg Auer, Peppino Adamo, and Matthias Mayr. Their debut album Der Himmel brennt was released in 1995. The group began to gain international recognition after their first appearance at the Grand Prix der Volksmusik in 1997 with "Und die Adler der Cordilleren", which placed third for Germany. The group secured another third-place finish at the Grand Prix der Volksmusik in 2001 with "Ciao Marlena" for South Tyrol. They continued to release popular albums such as Leben Wie Die Sterne Steh'n in 2003 and Hejo in 2016. The group recorded for Koch International until 2008 before signing with MCP.
