The Star Sisters were a Dutch pop trio formed in 1983, comprising Patricia Paay (born 7 April 1949 in Rotterdam), Yvonne Keeley (born 6 September 1952 in Rotterdam), and Sylvana van Veen (born 1950). They were produced by Jaap Eggermont, known for his medley projects, and entered the music scene with the single "The Star Sisters"/"Fly Away", which introduced their blend of disco and soul. The group’s debut album, Tonight ! 20.00 Hrs., featured a medley tribute to The Andrews Sisters and achieved international attention. In 1984, they released Hooray For Hollywood and the single "A Tribute To Marilyn Monroe", while 1985 saw the departure of Sylvana van Veen, replaced by Ingrid Ferdinandus, and the release of Danger, which included modern tracks such as "The Duke Of Dance" and "He's The 1 (I Love)"; the latter contributed to the soundtrack of Godzilla. Subsequent releases in 1986-New York City (Just Another Night In) and Are You Ready For My Love-followed by the 1987 single "Bad Girls" marked the group’s decline in chart performance, leading to their disbandment that year. A 2007 compilation, Star Sisters Remix 2007, revived interest and featured a remix of their first hit, prompting a reunion appearance on the Dutch television show Dancing with the Stars.
