Linda-Maria Roine, known professionally as Mercedes Bentso, born in Helsinki, Finland, is a Finnish rapper who began her career at age 15 after being inspired by Steen1's lyrics. Her breakthrough came in December 2012 with the release of her first single and video "Personal Raineri", which gained over 20,000 views within weeks. In April 2017, Bentso released her debut album Ei koskaan enää, produced by Steen1. She has also been involved in acting, appearing in the play Jumala on suuri and later addressing sexual abuse allegations against the playwright Veijo Baltzar through her song "Clare Quilty" and its accompanying video. Bentso's second album, Joka ikinen yö, was released in 2019. Throughout her career, she has been open about her experiences with substance dependence, violence, and discrimination, using her music to address these issues.
