Born in 1990, Tanguy de Williencourt is a critically acclaimed French classical pianist. He attended the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and graduated in 2013 with degrees in piano, conducting, accompaniment and vocal coaching. He gained support from both the Blüthner and Banque Populaire Foundations, and won several prizes in 2016 including taking home the Jury and Public prizes from the Société des Arts de Genève. He was awarded a prize at Philharmonie de Paris/Orchestre de Chambre de Paris joint Play-Direct competition. During this period, he took master classes from Maria João Pires, Christoph Eschenbach, and Paul Badura-Skoda. He continued to win prizes at several competitions and began to perform at prestigious venues including Philharmonie de Paris, Auditorium du Musée d’Orsay, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, St-Petersburg Philharmonie, Berlin Philharmonie, and Folle Journée à Tokyo. He also appeared at many festivals such as Yehudi Menuhin, Gstaad, Chopin, Nohant, Radio France, and Lille Piano Festival. Tanguy de Williencourt has released several albums including Brahms, Schumann: Works for Cello & Piano (2015), Beethoven: Bagatelles - L'Intégrale (2020), and Proust, Le Concert Retrouvé (2021), with violonist Théotime Langlois de Swarte.
