Milburn are an English indie rock group formed in Sheffield in 2001 by Joe Carnall, Louis Carnall, Tom Rowley and Joe Green; the name came from a friendly bet. Their early work began with the demo Steel Town in 2001, followed by the EPs On Top of the World (2002) and Along Comes Mary (2003). In 2006 they signed to Mercury Records, releasing the single "Send in the Boys" on 15 May 2006, which peaked at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart, and their debut album Well Well Well on 9 October 2006, reaching number 32 on the UK Albums Chart. The second album These Are the Facts was issued on 1 October 2007, preceded by the single "What Will You Do (when The Money Goes)" on 14 September 2007. Milburn split on 28 March 2008, playing final shows at the Carling Academy Sheffield on 24 May 2008 before reuniting in 2016 for reunion concerts. They released the single "Midnight Control"/"Forming of a Fate" in September 2016 and their third album Time on 29 September 2017 via Count to 10 Records, concluding a career that spanned three studio albums and notable chart presence in the UK alternative scene.
