Drug Restaurant, formerly known as the Jung Joon Young Band (JJY Band), was a South Korean rock band formed in 2015 in Seoul. The band consisted of Jung Seok-won (bass), Cho Dae-min, also known as Dammit (guitar), Lee Hyun-kyu, known as Drok.Q (drums), and Jung Joon-young (vocals, rhythm guitar). Initially formed by Jung Joon-young a year after his solo debut, the band was named JJY Band, but in May 2016, they changed their name to Drug Restaurant to shift the focus from Jung to the group as a whole. The name symbolized their aim to provide listeners with a sense of relief and escape from societal pressures. Drug Restaurant debuted with the album Escape to Hangover in 2015, blending alternative, hard, and garage rock, and followed up with their second album Mistake in 2016. In 2017, they released their third album, Pomade, which featured all-English tracks, marking their first English-language album. The band gained attention with singles such as "OMG" and "Drink O2 in the Water," and even embarked on tours in Europe and the U.S. In 2019, Jung Joon-young retired from the industry due to his involvement in the Burning Sun scandal, leading to the band's tentative disbandment.
