First and foremost, Glxtchxn is the Man On a Mission, also known as The Greatest You’ll Never Know. The first time he ever rapped was in his junior year of high school. The song was a diss track against a fellow classmate that amassed over 1k plays in two days before it was deleted. Glxtchxn didn’t rap again until his first year in college where he linked with two freestyle artists named Chvlice and McLovin. He spent a year freestyling with them until he started attending his second college. Then, he linked with an artist that, at the time, was named New Gen Nas. Glxtchxn was inspired by him and his drive and belief.
In 2019, Glxtchxn worked on three songs. Those songs were Frieza, Noseblxxd P1, and Need The One. The first song Frieza was released around April 2019 and he worked on the song along with Noseblxxd P1 but his first song on all platforms was Need The One. At the time, Glxtchxn had a lack of direction but the potential was there. During the rest of that year, he released singles such as Jxst Business and Pity The Fool. Throughout the rest of 2019 leading into 2020, he released those songs. The year 2020 was his most difficult year because it limited collaboration with other artists but that time period helped him figure more of his creative process. With the help of a producer by the name of Novad and an engineer named T Mane, he was able to release two songs by the name of Noseblxxd P2 and Gelato. Noseblxxd P2 released in August 2020 and Gelato released in October 2020. Leading into 2021, Glxtchxn fell into slight depression but his creative process was still intact. Around March 2021, he released a song called Better which helped to define what lanes he wanted to go in within his musical career.
Glxtchxn officially defined his genre of music as Lyrical Trap when he released an EP named Just Some Songs (each beat was made by Novad). On a side note, he defined his genre of Lyrical Trap because he wanted to delve into the genres of Lyrical Trap and merge the two. This genre was heavily inspired by artists such as; Nas, Kendrick Lamar, KRS One, Wu-Tang Clan, Mac Miller, Cordae, XXXTENTACION, Ski Mask The Slump God, Tyler The Creator, Juice WRLD, and artists that he’s collaborated with such as; Naxxir, DTrxll, YungBatz, L0key Famous, JesusBlessedIt, DK, UHL!¥AH, Mike Can Dream, Sa!nt, and other members of Y.O. The Label. Along with defining his genre, he based colors around it, those colors being red, green, and blue. Red is more of a dark, moody Trappish type of sound. Green is a chill vibe-heavy lofi eccentric type of music that puts people in a good mood. Blue is more of a sorrowful color delving into genres like Sad Rap which delves more into Glxtchxn’s mental state. With a better mindset and a clear direction in his music, Glxtchxn released FYE (Fuck You & Everything) which is his red content that contains “Walk ft. Naxxir”, “AYE!!! ft. Kenny Koughs”, “ABSTRACT (Prod. By Dayne)”, and Lonely which was engineered by
Glxtchxn. For the rest of 2021, Glxtchxn will be delving into the rest of the colors of green and blue before starting production of his first album Man On a Mission for 2022.
If Glxtchxn had any advice for independent artists, he would say to not only maintain their independence but at the same time, enjoy the process of music even though it comes with highs and lows. If you make any mistakes, just know that it’s all in the art of making good music hence why he has an artist name with two x’s because he acknowledges the fact that he makes these errors and strives to improve on them everyday and that’s what makes him the artist that he is now.
