Blackeyed Blonde is a German crossover and funk metal band from Saarbrücken. Formed in 1988 by Steve and Dr. Zarkov, the group's name is derived from a Red Hot Chili Peppers track. They released their debut album We Do Ya (1992) through the label HTR. A second album, So What?! (1993), was followed by their breakthrough release Masafagga (1995), which reached number 76 on the German charts and included the single “Boomerang”. They toured as support for the band 24-7 Spyz. In 1997, the group composed music for a production of the Shakespeare play Troilus and Cressida and released the EP “Liebe, Siege, Kriege?” (1997). After disbanding in 1998, they reunited in 2014 and released the album Bitches (2014), which was later remastered as reBITCHed (2016).
