Herbert Schuch is a German pianist who was born in 1979 in Timișoara, Socialist Republic of Romania. He received his first piano lessons from Maria Bodo and later studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg under Karl-Heinz Kämmerling. Schuch performed with orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra. He appeared as a guest at festivals including the Rheingau Musik Festival and the Salzburger Festspiele. His debut studio album, Herbert Schuch – Ravel: Miroirs, Schumann: Kreisleriana, was released (2005). In 2013, he received an Echo Klassik award for the recording of piano concertos by Viktor Ullmann and Ludwig van Beethoven (2012). His discography includes the albums Nachtstücke (2009), Sehnsuchtswalzer (2010), Invocation (2014), and Bagatellen: Beethoven, Ligeti (2019).
