Courtney Jaye Goldberg, also known as Courtney Jaye, born on February 15, 1978, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is an American singer-songwriter. She moved to Alpharetta, Georgia, during high school and discovered her passion for music through artists like The Grateful Dead and Neil Young. Her initial steps into the music industry included performing in a bluegrass band. Courtney Jaye signed her first record deal with Island Records in 2004, releasing her album Traveling Light in 2005. The album featured the single "Can't Behave" and peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart on June 25, 2005. She performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Throughout her career, she collaborated with notable musicians such as Gary Louris of The Jayhawks, Matthew Sweet, Peter Hayes of BRMC, and Ben Bridwell of Band of Horses. Her subsequent albums include Love and Forgiveness (2013), produced by Mike Wrucke, and Hymns and Hallelucinations (2022).
