Los Sírex is a Spanish rock band from Barcelona, formed in June 1959. The initial lineup included Guillermo Rodríguez Holgado, Antonio Miers, and Manuel Madruga, who were influenced by Elvis Presley. The group began performing locally and gained exposure after signing a contract to record a 45rpm EP featuring the song "Muchacha bonita" (1964). Their breakthrough came with the single "La escoba", which became a hit in Spain during the Christmas season of 1965. Los Sírex performed as the opening act for The Beatles' second concert in Barcelona on July 3, 1965. Between 1968 and 1971, the band embarked on tours across Latin America. The group disbanded in 1971 but reunited in 1977. Albums include Ni Mas Ni Menos (1980) and 25 Años De Éxitos (1987). Los Sírex is recognized as one of the historic bands of Spanish rock.
