A member of the pop group Why Don't We, Daniel Seavey has gone solo. Born in Vancouver, Washington, on April 2, 1999, Daniel James Seavey grew up in Portland, Oregon. In 2015, he participated in the 14th season of American Idol, which revealed him to the public and gave rise to the single "You Make My Dreams". A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, he joined the band Why Don't We, becoming its lead producer and one of its songwriters. After recording two albums, he took advantage of an extended break to embark on a new solo career, with a string of singles culminating in the Dancing in the Dark EP (2023). Oriented towards synth pop, folk and rock, he scored a personal hit with the track "I Tried" in 2024.
