South Korean singer SunMin, born Lee Sun-Min on August 4, 1987, in Daegu, began her musical journey at a young age. Inspired by American R&B artist Christina Aguilera, she started vocal training and created a demo tape to launch her career. In 2006, SunMin debuted with the single "Keep Holding U", a collaboration with Japanese R&B singer Toshinobu Kubota. This marked the beginning of her career, which initially focused on the Japanese market. She continued to release music in Japan, including the album Brand New Girl (2008) and the EP Cover Girl (2008). SunMin's career shifted towards South Korea from 2009 to 2010. She contributed original soundtracks for South Korean television series such as Master of Study and Gloria. In addition to her music releases, she participated in the main South Korean musical production of Jekyll & Hyde, playing Lucy from 2010 to 2013, including a national tour. SunMin also starred as Josephine in the South Korean production of Arsène Lupin in spring 2013.
