Aron Ottignon is a New Zealand-born pianist, composer, and producer whose music merges jazz, African percussion, and contemporary electronics. Known for his explosive live energy and collaborations with artists such as Stromae and Baaba Maal, Ottignon has forged a unique voice that moves between continents and traditions. His new project Aroma, recorded between France and Senegal, distills years of collaboration into a minimalist yet soulful sound where piano, Osmose synth, and hand percussion create a delicate balance of structure and freedom. Joined by percussionist Nane Kahle and selected guests, Ottignon shapes each piece as a live dialogue — disciplined, textured, and emotionally direct.
