Kim & the Cadillacs formed in Milan in 1977 and consisted of Kim Brown, Graham Johnson, Mick Webley, and Trutz Groth, who were former members of a disbanded group called the Renegades. They adopted a 1950s-styled classic rock 'n' roll repertoire. Their breakthrough came with their debut single "Rock'N'Roll Medley" in 1977. In 1979, they entered the Sanremo Music Festival with "C'era un'atmosfera", finishing eighth. The band's main successes included the singles "Stop" and "Non Stop Twist" in 1979 and 1982 respectively, and the album Size 50 in 1984, which charted 7th on the Italian hit parade. They released several albums throughout their career, including Rock'N'Roll (1977), Rock 'N' Rollers (1979), Rock Bottom (1980), Cadillac's Corn (1981), Boogie (1982), 3x4 On the Rocks (1985), and 1986 (1986). Kim & the Cadillacs disbanded in 1988.
