Suchmos is a Japanese rock band formed in 2013, consisting of YONCE (Yosuke Kawanishi, August 28, 1991, Chigasaki, Kanagawa, Japan), Taiking (Yasutaka Totsuka, May 10, 1990, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan), OK (Kento Ohara, August 27, 1990, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan), Kcee (Kaihei Ohara, September 18, 1992, Himi, Toyama, Japan), Taihei (Taihei Sakurauchi, July 4, 1992, Himi, Toyama, Japan), and Kcee (Taihei Sakurauchi, July 4, 1992, Himi, Toyama, Japan). (Bassist HSU/Junta Kosugi passed away in 2021. The lead song "Eye to Eye" was released on the EP "Sunburst" on July 2, 2025, and was presented as an important song symbolizing the band's latest sound after its revival. The band's musical style is a fusion of rock, soul, jazz, and hip-hop, and since their debut EP, Essence, in 2015, they have developed a unique sound that incorporates everything from neo-soul to AOR and funk.
