In 1996, Rockell released her debut single "I Fell in Love", which marked the beginning of her career. The following year, she achieved significant success with the hit single "In a Dream". Both tracks appeared on her 1998 debut album What Are You Lookin' At?, which also included notable songs like "When I'm Gone" and "Can't We Try", a duet with Collage.
