Burning, a rock band formed in Madrid in 1974, originally consisted of José Casas Toledo (Pepe Risi, guitar and vocals), Juan Antonio Martín Díaz (Toño Martín, vocals), Enrique Pérez (bass), Ernesto Estepa (Tito, drums), and later Johnny Cifuentes on keyboards. The group began their career singing in English before helping normalize the use of Spanish in rock music during the second half of the 1970s. In 1978, they released their debut album Madrid, and in 1979 followed it with El Fin De La Década, which included the classic song “Mueve Tus Caderas” as well as “¿Qué Hace Una Chica Como Tú En Un Sitio Como Éste?” from the soundtrack of Fernando Colomo’s film of the same name. Later releases include albums such as Noches De Rock & Roll (1984) and En Directo (1991).
