Hedvig Hanson, born April 22, 1975, in Tartu, Estonia, is an Estonian jazz vocalist. She comes from a family deeply rooted in the arts; her mother, Novella Hanson, and father, Tõnu Kilgas, are both singers and actors. Her half-sister, Piret Krumm, is also an actress. Hanson's career began with the release of Love For Sale in 1997, followed by Let Me Love You in 2000. She gained significant recognition with her album What Colour Is Love? released in 2003, under Emarcy/Universal. This was followed by You Bring Me Joy, released in 2005. Throughout her career, Hanson has been celebrated for her contributions to jazz music in Estonia, receiving multiple awards, including the Estonian Music Awards for Female and Jazz Artist of the Year in 2001 and 2004, as well as the Estonian Radio Award for Musician of the Year in 2003.
