Moonshake was a British experimental rock/post-rock band, active between 1991 and 1997. The group's core member, David Callahan, had previously been part of indie rock band The Wolfhounds. Moonshake began with Callahan and Margaret Fiedler as co-leaders, along with bass guitarist John Frenett and drummer Miguel "Mig" Morland. Their debut EP First was released in 1991 on Creation Records. In 1992, the band signed to Too Pure and released their first single for the label, "Secondhand Clothes". Moonshake's debut album, Eva Luna, followed in 1992. The band's EP, Big Good Angel, was released in 1993, after which Fiedler and Frenett left to form Laika. Their album, The Sound Your Eyes Can Follow, was released in May 1994. Moonshake disbanded in 1997.
