2 Fabiola is a Belgian electronic dance music group that formed in 1991. The ensemble was founded by producer Patrick Claesen, who uses the stage name Pat Krimson, and Olivier Adams. Claesen began his career as a guitarist for the band Leopold 3 before establishing the project, which they named after Queen Fabiola of Belgium. They released the debut single “The Milky Way” in 1991. The group achieved significant commercial success in the mid-1990s with the addition of Zohra Aït-Fath and released the debut studio album Tyfoon (1996). This recording featured the singles “Play This Song” (1995) and “Lift U Up” (1995), the latter of which reached Number 1 on the Flemish charts. Their subsequent album, Androgyne, (1998) included the songs “Magic Flight” (1997) and “Flashback” (1998). After a hiatus beginning in 1999, Claesen resumed activity with the group in 2007 and collaborated with Katie Michaelson on the single “Straight to the Top” (2007). Since 2008, the lineup has included the singers Viola Furleo and Loredana De Amicis. They released the singles “Push It Up” (2010) and “She's After My Piano” (2014), with the latter winning the Radio 2 Zomerhit award.
