Banghra was a Spanish pop band formed in 2007, consisting of Javi Mota, Lidia Guevara, and Victoria Gómez. The group aimed to reintroduce belly dancing and Oriental and Indian dances into Spanish and English music. Their debut single "My Own Way" (2007) was released under the Vale Music label and became a hit on Spanish radio stations. Banghra's first album, La Danza del Vientre (2007), followed, featuring tracks like "Living Without" and "The Night Sound". They received a platinum certification for selling over 100,000 copies of the debut single and were nominated for the Premios Amigo as the revelation group. In 2008, Gómez left the band, reducing them to a duo. Their second album, ...a bailar! (2008), was released in July 2008. Despite their success, Banghra disbanded later that year.
