Lukas Permanschläger, known professionally as Lukas Perman, was born on October 24, 1980, in Braunau am Inn, Austria. He began his musical education at the Musisches Gymnasium in Salzburg and later studied voice at the Mozarteum and Konservatorium in Vienna. Perman's breakthrough came in 2003 with his debut single "When the Evening Falls", which reached number 9 on the Austrian singles charts. His first album, Hier Im Jetzt, was released in 2005, featuring the single "24 Stunden". In 2007, he embarked on a ten-week tour of Japan for the musical production Elisabeth with Vereinigte Bühnen Wien. Perman continued to perform extensively in Japan and returned to Austria for various theater roles. He played Alfred in Tanz der Vampire at the Wiener Ronacher from 2009 to 2011. In 2013, Perman participated in the eighth season of Dancing Stars, finishing third as a finalist.
