Blech & Brass Banda, a Bohemian brass band from Burgenland, Austria, was founded in 1999 by Ludwig Zwickl and Christian Hoffmann. The group initially consisted of 13 musicians from the Neusiedl am See district passionate about Bohemian brass band music. The group won the title of Vice European Champion of Bohemian-Moravian Brass Music in 2001 and won the title European Champion of Bohemian-Moravian Wind Music in 2002. The band released their debut album Mährische Freunde in 2002, followed by Blechschaden in 2003 and Lauschangriff in 2005. In 2007, Radek Ruzicka took over the musical direction, and under his leadership, the band released their albums Volltreffer (2007) and Nicht Nur Für Uns (2008). In February 2009, the band was renamed Die Burgenländer to reflect their regional identity.
