Daniel Kandlbauer, born in Grindelwald, Switzerland, is a Swiss musician known for his contributions to pop music. He began his musical journey as the frontman of the hard-rock band Crossfade. Kandlbauer gained significant attention after finishing second in the second season of the Swiss casting show Music Star in 2005. His debut single "Maybe in Heaven" reached number 3 on the Swiss charts, and his album Home debuted at Number 1. Following this success, he formed a new band and released Inside Out in 2006. Kandlbauer collaborated on various projects, including the official Olympic song for Torino 2006 "We Are on Fire" with Marc Sway, Kisha, and Tanja Dankner, and a cover of Uriah Heep's "Lady in Black" with Ken Hensley. His album The Shades of Light was released in 2008.
