Gli Alunni Del Sole, an Italian pop rock group from Naples, was formed in 1968 by brothers Paolo Morelli and Bruno Morelli. The duo began their career performing rhythm and blues music. Their breakthrough came through Renzo Arbore's talk show Speciale per voi, where they accompanied guests musically. In 1968, the group released their first single "L'Aquilone" followed by "Concerto" in 1969. Subsequent singles include "Ombre di luci" and "Isa... Isabella," both in 1971. Their debut album Dove Era Lei A Quell'Ora was released in 1972, featuring a thematic suite on one side and individual songs on the other. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Gli Alunni Del Sole continued to release albums such as ...E Mi Manchi Tanto (1973) and Liù(1 978). The band became inactive in 2015.
