Richard Poon

Richard Poon, born December 8, 1973 in Makati, Philippines, is a Filipino-Chinese singer, songwriter, and television personality. He began his career performing in lounges and bars across Metro Manila, covering standards and classic pop songs. In 2004, Poon released a self-titled debut album as a member of the group U-Turn on VIVA Records, followed by By Request (2005). He launched a solo career with the debut album I'll Take Care of You (2007) on MCA Music, which achieved platinum certification. His subsequent solo releases include For You (2009), I'll Be Seeing You (2010), and Legends (2013). As a songwriter, he wrote the song “Lalala” for the Paano Kita Iibigin? soundtrack, which was performed by Regine Velasquez and Piolo Pascual.
