Hugues Maluta Makanda, known professionally as But Na Filet, was born on January 1, 1986, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He is a singer and dancer who began his career with the orchestra Villa Nova under Fabregas Le Maestro. In 2016, he joined Villa Nova and released his first single "Mauvais Temps" produced by Maestro Fabregas. But Na Filet left Villa Nova in May 2019 to pursue a solo career, releasing his debut album Reculer Devant on August 31, 2019. The album featured the hit song "Mon Choix." In June 2020, he released the single "Tirer," which was part of his second solo album Positionnement, released on April 30, 2021. But Na Filet has also collaborated with Werrason on the track "Yeke Yeke" from Werrason's album Formidable. In 2019, he won the Pool Malebo Award for Revelation of the Year.
