Quebec rock band from Granby (Canada), formed in 1995 by Guillaume Beauregard, Marie-Ève Roy, Maxime Beauregard and Patrick Landry. Vulgaires Machins released their first album in 1996, La Vie Est Belle , self-produced by the band. This was followed in 1998 by 24:40 , which saw them support Grimskunk. Their third album, Regarde le Monde , arrived in autumn 2000. The quartet went on to tour Europe, as well as the major Quebec festivals, including the Francofolies de Montréal and the Festival d'été de Québec. September 2001 sees the release of their album Aimer le mal , with the video " Dieu se pique ", which is in rotation on MusiquePlus. The arrival of their 2006 opus Compter les Corps (Counting the Bodies ) saw the band hit the Quebec radio charts with the songs " Anéantir le dogme ", " Dommage collatéral " and " Puits sans fond ". The latter earned them a Coup de Coeur award at the Festival d'été de Québec that same year. On December 21 and 22, 2007, Vulgaires Machins recorded their show at Club Soda in Montreal, for the CD/DVD Presque Sold Out, released the following year. On March 2, 2010, the band released the album Requiem Pour les Sourds , featuring the song " Parasites ", which won the song award at the Echo Awards. The following year saw the release of an eponymous opus in which the band re-recorded their songs in acoustic format. After a three-year break from 2013 to 2016, the band returned to the stage at the Montebello Rock Festival. Further shows follow throughout the 2010 decade. A new album is released in October 2022, entitled Disruption.
