Christoph Sietzen, born on September 11, 1992, in Salzburg, Austria, is a Luxembourgish marimba percussionist. He began his musical journey at the age of 12 with a debut performance at the Salzburger Festspiele. Christoph Sietzen studied marimba under Bogdan Bacanu and percussion under Leonhard Schmidinger and Josef Gumpinger at the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz, graduating with distinction. In 2014, he became a lecturer for marimba and percussion at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. Sietzen's notable achievements include winning the ARD International Music Competition and being named a Rising Star of the European Concert Hall Organization. He has released several albums, including Aurora Borealis (2009) with Emiko Uchiyama and Vladimir Petrov, Without Ripieno (2011), and Loco (2016). In 2023, he was appointed as a Professor of Percussion at the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität.
